Tour Poland with Milworld.pl: Main Beskids Trail

Some people spend their holidays resting, others prefer to spend time actively. Poland is full of interesting places. Places that none of us would expect to exist. The best time to discover them is summer. Then the weather is conducive to exploring. The Main Beskids Trail is the longest trail in the Polish mountains. It has 495 km. Not a barrier to passage for everyone. Only the persistent stay on the trail and crown the end in Wołosaty or Ustroń. Not everyone has to take such a long route straight away. To start with, just go through one section. It's all about being close to nature and the joy of breaking your own barriers.

About the trail

The trail is marked in red and is named after Kazimierz Sosnowski. It starts in Ustroń in the Silesian Beskids or in Wołosaty in the Bieszczady Mountains. It was designed and completed in 1929. The best time to cross the trail is between June and September. Then the day is the longest and all shelters and tent bases are open. In fact, you can meet the most companions while traveling. You don't have to be afraid of wandering alone. A helping soul on the trail is an important issue. Unless you're a loner. Then choose a different time.

Journey

Choose Bieszczady as the starting point. Then at the start we will meet the beautiful views of the Caryńska and Wetlińska hills. The next stage will be the Low Beskid, where there are no steep climbs, so you can speed up your pace a bit. The trek through the Low Beskids usually lasts about 6 days. Krynica-Zdrój is the border point between the Low Beskid and Sądecki. There appears an area where it is easier to orientate in the field. Walking along the Gorce ridge, you can count on beautiful Tatra panoramas. Beskid Żywiecki and Makowski are a difficult stage. There, you climb the highest peak during the hike, i.e. Babia Góra. It is worth checking the weather conditions before entering, because this peak is considered to be astringent. The last massif is the Silesian Beskid. Going slightly off the trail, you can reach the source of the Vistula. The last two stages are a 400-meter climb to the top of Równica, and then a walk along the forest path to the center of Ustroń. The journey can also go the other way. The whole trip usually lasts about 3 weeks.

Preparation with Milworld.pl

When it comes to your equipment, you'll find everything you need at Milworld.pl. Let's start with the shoes. They should be above all comfortable. We have something for people who want to spend a slightly larger budget on a trip and a cheaper option. The first is the Haix Black Angel Athletic MID shoes in black. They adapt to the shape of the foot and guarantee high functionality. The second option is Mil-Tec Trooper shoes. Comfortable and light.

When it comes to your backpack, don't take anything you won't need. That's why it's worth considering the 50 liter or 35 liter option. Brandit Aviator will be a good choice, available in various colors and capacities.

Clothing must also be comfortable. Surplus Xylontum Chino shorts will work great as pants. Made of cotton, equipped with 4 pockets. Classic and practical. Plus, it's worth taking a classic Mil-Tec baseball cap that will protect your head from the sun's rays.

You must eat something while traveling. The Highlander mini tourist grill is ideal for preparing dishes. Because it is foldable, it will take up little space in your backpack. Use Higlander Anti-Shock trekking poles when hiking. They will help you keep your pace and reduce your knees.

It is worth taking care of your own condition before walking. Running training and exercises (squats, push-ups) will strengthen your efficiency and physical strength. You don't have to be a terminator to test yourself on the Main Beskids Trail. Does not require huge technical skills. Wandering is to be a pleasure. This is what active spending is about. The Main Beskids Trail can make you love mountains again. Beautiful views. Such an adventure can provide you with memories for a lifetime.
