May weekend in the forest

May weekend is a period that is associated primarily with relaxation and free time. Usually it was used for short, several-day trips to the seaside or to the mountains. This year, however, will be exceptional. As you know, the possibilities of movement are limited. This is the time and no other time has come and everyone in the time of the pandemic must find his place. Therefore, we suggest that you spend this picnic in the forest. Surrender to nature and breathe fresh air.

In this article you will learn:

  • how to spend time in the forest so as not to get bored,
  • how not to get lost in the forest,
  • how to safely use forest areas.

There is never boredom in the woods!

The forest never loses its relevance, it is always up to date. There are many ways to avoid boredom. The most common is a walk. As you walk, you can enjoy the views around you and listen to the sounds that nature makes. This is probably what gives the most satisfaction in communing with nature - the opportunity to feel it firsthand.

If you prefer a more active mode, we invite you to jogging or cycling. Thanks to the designated bicycle routes, you can take a scenic ride and rediscover the surroundings where you live.

You can also explore new areas while running. Time passes slower in the woods, so the pace doesn't have to be crazy. Enjoy what you see around you.

Or maybe trekking? Yes! Choose the right backpack (if you don't know how, click HERE) and off you go. Pack a camping stove, blanket, some food and take a meal break while trekking. After all, there is nothing more pleasant than solid food in the bosom of nature. Of course, remember to clean up after yourself and keep basic safety rules. Don't make the fire! Currently, forests are drought and it is very easy to catch fire. An example is what happened in the Biebrza National Park.

About cleaning up after yourself in the woods. If you want to do a good deed, clean up the others and join our #Trashtag Challenge. You can find all the details by going to THIS LINK.

Don't get lost

It is easy to get lost when walking in the woods. It's not surprising if the views are so beautiful. Man does not focus on where his legs are carrying him. In this case, it is worth knowing how to determine the north direction with the help of a compass. This is definitely an analog way of looking for a road in the field, but maybe it is worth training a bit in this area as well.
